Scooter Corkle began his film career over 10 years ago in Vancouver Canada. He's worked in many department including Locations, Camera, Grip, FX, Art and others until finding himself in Lighting. He is sought after as the go-to independent gaffer having lit some very unique projects including BEYOND THE BLACK RAINBOW and IN THEIR SKIN.
In 2009, he decided to make the move to directing, making the ultimate challenge of concepting, writing, shooting and finishing a film in 48 hours for the Bloodshots Horror Competition. The short film spawned from this was called CHLOE AND ATTIE. The film went on to win the jury prize for Best Film and Best Cinematography for Bloodshots and eventually went to screen in 5 continents around the world including Toronto After Dark, Encounters, Dead By Dawn, MotelX and Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre Film Festival, to name a few.

The audience spoke and it was clear – CHLOE AND ATTIE was to live on. Scooter spent the next few years writing the feature length adaptation. He wanted to make it a tonal film that centred on the creation of mood and the feeling of uneasy mystery through an intriguing catalogue of characters, a deceitful landscape, and a slow burning plot. Soon after, the team was invited to Fantasia Film Festival's Frontieres International Co-Production Market in both Brussels and Montreal and look to be in principle photography in the summer of 2016.
POUR RETOURNER, his second short film had its world premiere at Tribeca Film Festival with follow up screenings at Nashville, Dresden, Atlantic, DC Shorts, Shnit and New Hampshire Film Festivals, to name a few. The film also won best international short film at Festival de Cine de Lanzarote and was curated by Telefilm's prestigious 'Not Short on Talent Program' at Cannes Film Festival.
Scooter is currently in pre-production on his debut feature film WAX GASKET that he also penned. Produced by Jesse Savath and Executive Produced by Chris Ferguson and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of Automatic Entertainment, the film plans to shoot Summer of 2015.
Scooter is currently repped by CAA and managed by Grandview.
